holidays

well here the holidays are the time when i do really see lots of people everywhere with lots of smiles on their faces, expecially kids... i went to jog the other day(i jog almost everyday duh.....) and the lake side was so crowded with happy families, fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, boy friends, girl friends, old friends.... love is everywhere.... one thing i really can't stop mentioning to myself is i really like seeing the old couples here, they are everywhere too. in their sixties-seventies, they are still very strong and really active, and the kind(est) people that i have met here are all old couples, well in the supermarket when i have questions they have never failed to guide me with a smile on their face(actually once only la, i was looking for the stupid sugar, where the hell did they put the sugar??!!), the more remarkable one was during the day before the christmas eve, i went shopping groceries, alone, around 10-11 in the morning. old couples were again everywhere and i seem to be the only young person in the street. u know what they did was when they see me, they greet me, "merry christmas!!" and i was greeted by at least 3 couples.. I was sooo touched, speechless, but well maybe they were surprised too themselves. cuz youngsters here will never wake that early, and as well, probably that time i looked really that horrible, a lonely figure from abroad in the street.. i guess they would have thought that i deserve more than their grand kids. that's why they greeted me.. well, i wouldn't say i deserve anything from them, if i did why didn't they pay for my groceries? haha...... but i'd really say i am living a "hard working" life here. everyday's filled, none wasted...

back to my holidays idea. the second thing i enjoy seeing here is the scene of parents bringing their kids for a walk in the park, the lakeside i jog. and the kids here are really adorable, shaking while riding the bike with 4 wheels they still find time to stare at me, cuz i look different.. some even smile at me.. innocent smile. and if that happens i'll turn and look at their parents. i realised of all the kids that smiled at a stranger like me, their parents are all of the good looking ones. it takes good looking parents to produce adorable kids it seems? haha.... and of course not surprising that when i turn to look at them they smile at me too. the best way to reply a smile is then smile.. and deep inside my heart i i really wish them good life. that reminds me too, when i was young. my parents bring me out quite a lot, together with my brothers, in the evenings.. we play tennis, we swim, and we play badminton at the compound of my house.... and in the holidays we go for trips. my friends don't have that kind of life.. although their parents seem to have more time than mine.. the credit goes to my parents. especially my father, he has almost the worst job in the world in terms of time, being a private GP, works 12 hours a day, but now i really dont think he has did a bit less to give us a memorable child hood... and could have add to your surprise my mom's working too... yes, i love mom and dad. they are the ones that know what have they been working for. some parents dont, they work too hard to give their kids a good life, but good life is not just about money.. it's much more than monay, MONAY... i don't remember, and don't know how much money my parents have spent on me(tonnes of them could have been), but i remember the times my parents spent with me... i have been thinking quite a lot what my kids are gonna get from me in the future, i think my parents are hard to beat, it's hard to think of anyway to do better than them really... but c'mon, what the fuck, get myself a girl friend first la.... haha.....

so in case my dear May-Lin doesn't know why i like jogging that much, it's because jogging at the lakeside i get to see a lot of things that remind me that i am living a good life.. just like seeing her smile does too..

ok la, wish everyone a happy holiday, if u're having this easter break, and if not hope you're all doing well with your work/studies...

=)
